What is ReCap for Craft?
• Re = Recycle
• Cap = Plastic bottle cap
• Craft = Creative,upcycled crafts
This project reflects our commitment to using resources efficiently through the concept of “Waste is Value” – by recycling instead of discarding, and practicing proper waste separation, we help reduce unnecessary plastic waste while creating positive change for our communities and nature. Sika Thailand launched a bottle cap collection campaign between June (World Environment Month) to July 2025 and Recycle Workshop & Beach Clean-up in collaboration with the local social enterprise “Rak Talay Saenebaan Amper” at Baan Amper Beach, Sattahip, Chonburi, on August 15, 2025.
Activity Highlights
- Bottle Cap Collection
Our employee collected 18,342 plastic caps (25 kg) across 4 branches, with participation from 151 employees. These were exchanged for 359 upcycled craft items
- Recycle Workshop & Beach Clean-up
On August 15, 40 Sika Thailand staffs joined forces to collect 32.5 kg of marine waste along the coastline. And the workshop stations offered hands-on experiences in waste separation and creative upcycling, while strengthening environmental awareness in a fun and collaborative way.
This initiative not only encouraged employees to adopt sustainable habits by practicing proper waste segregation but also contributed to reducing unnecessary plastic waste in nature. Together, we are igniting the power of action to drive Sika’s sustainability commitment: Sustainably Sika
