Since 2016, Sika Thailand has been actively engaged in a coral planting project as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to conserve the marine environment. The initiative focuses on making the most of surplus cement-based materials—still valuable and usable—by transforming them into something meaningful, rather than sending them to landfill.

Sika is committed to creating lasting environmental value for coastal communities. With a strong focus on water conservation and climate protection, the company has prioritized restoring coral reefs and marine ecosystems through this program, working to bring back the richness and biodiversity of the underwater world.

This activity not only increases coral reef coverage and supports marine biodiversity, but also reflects mindful resource usage. By repurposing leftover cement from production and internal testing—materials that still meet quality standards—Sika ensures that resources are used to their fullest potential instead of becoming waste.

Sika’s dedication to combining environmental restoration with sustainable resource management reflects its broader commitment to social and environmental responsibility. This aligns closely with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which the company has long supported.
