Sikament® RB 1008

Strength Enhancing, High Range Water-reducing Admixture in Liquid Form for Rheoplastic Concrete

Sikament® RB 1008 is a water-soluble, sulphonated polymer-based admixture which allows mixing water to be reduced considerably and concrete strength to be accelerated significantly, particularly at early ages. It contains no chlorides.

Application

Application Information

Dispensing

Sikament® RB 1008 is introduced into the mixer together with water. The plasticising effect or water reduction is higher if the admixture is added to the damp concrete after 50-70% of the water has been added. The addition of Sikament® RB 1008 to dry aggregate or cement is not recommended, as it lowers the plasticising effect or water reduction. 

Compatibility

Sikament® RB 1008 may be combined with many other Sika products. Trials must always be carried out before combining products in specific mixes. Contact Sika Technical Services for additional information and any specific combinations. 
Sikament® RB 1008 is compatible with all types of Portland Cement, including SRC type and Hydraulic Cement.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Sikament® RB 1008 is normally dispensed at a rate of 0.7 – 1 litre per 100 kg of cement. Other dosages may also be used depending on the specific working condition.
