Sika® Plastocrete®-909

Mid-range Water Reducing Concrete Admixture

Plastocrete® -909 is a mid-range water reducing for concrete. It is concentrated solution based on Synthetic Polymer and Modified Lignosulphonate. Effective water reduction provides substantially improvement on strength either cement saving or concrete with fly ash up to 30% replacement.

Plastocrete® -909 provided the following properties :
  • Water reduction up to 18% against control mix
  • High PFA replacement up to 30%
  • Equal strength to control mix with less cement
  • High early strength
  • Compensates for slow early strength gain achieved by cement replacements (PFA, GGBFS)
  • Increased workability with lower dosages
  • Excellent slump retention

Usage

  • Suitable for high strength cost effective concrete
  • Used for concrete with extended workability
  • Used in mix where cement saving is required
  • Suitable for concrete containing cement replacements such as Fly Ash or Slag

Application

Application Information

Dispensing

Plastocrete® -909 is introduced into the mixer together with mixing water.The addition of Plastocrete® -909 to dry aggregate and cement is not recommended,as it lowers plasticizing effects or the water reduction.
Consumption

Recommended Dosage

300 - 800 cc. per 100 kg. of cement or cementitious weight. Actual dosage depends on requirements and should be established from laboratory trials.
Sika® Plastocrete®-909 is compatible with all types of Portland Cement, including S.R.C. type and Hydraulic Cement.
