Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2

Emulsion Based Formwork Release Agent

Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 is a ready to use mould release agent which is designed to provide easy release of formwork. It is based on a blend of refined oils, specially formulated for their high quality surface finish and stability.

Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 provides the following properties:
  • Suitable for all types of formwork
  • Produced from refined oils, hence minimal hazards to health
  • Suspension and sediment free
  • It drastically reduces the incidence of blowholes, surface blemishes and staining.
  • It is an effective rust inhibitor.
  • Very economic coverage rates can be obtained.
  • All tools can be cleaned with water.

Usage

Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 is applied direct to steel, plastic and timber formwork, allows clean, fast and easy striking.

Consumption

In normal use, 1 liter will cover 30-35 m2. In the case of steel and fibre glass mould a single application is all that is required. For untreated timber mould being used for the first time, at least two coats of Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 should be applied to ensure that the mould face is sealed. Single applications are required between subsequent casts.

 
Application steps

APPLICATION

One coat application by brush, or spray, Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 is ready for use and requires no mixing but adequate stirring is advisable. New formwork should be kept dry and after Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 has been applied, it should be protected from rain. Do not water the applied coating even when the surface is dry. Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 should be allowed to dry before concreting takes place. Cleaning the mould surface between each use and before applying Sika® Separol® W-305 WB2 is essential to prevent the formation of hardened concrete “build up”.
