Usage

A special property of activated sodium bentonite is its ability to swell when it comes into contact with moisture, which causes the dry clay to form an impervious dense gel. It is used for:
  • One or Two components annulus grouting (Shield TBM excavation)
  • Micro tunnels
  • Micro pilings
  • Grouting stabilization
  • Foundation pile sealing., etc

Technical Information

Specific advice

When used with other cementitious binder, Sika® Stabilizer-4001 TBM TH is to be added first into the mixed with high stirring energy prior cement introduction for at least min 3 min.
