Usage

  • Main use: Waterproofing for bathrooms, kitchens, and drywall substrates (e.g., fiber cement board) before tile installation.
  • Interior walls/Floors.
  • Substrates: concrete, mortar, plasterboard, dry screed, fiber cement board (Please contact our company for other specific substrates).
  • Can be used on top of existing tiles for tile-on-tile application (Please contact our company for more information).

Shelf life

12 months from the date of production if stored in undamaged and unopened, original sealed packaging.

Storage conditions

Store in dry condition and protected from direct sunshine.

Drying time

Drying time between 2 coats is approximately 2 - 4 hours.
Drying time before tiling is approximately 12 hours minimum after the second coat.
Consumption

Consumption

1 - 1.5 kg/m2 for 2 coats at 0.5 mm total thickness.
Application steps

MIXING

SikaTile®-152 Damp Flex is ready to use. Do not dilute.

APPLICATION

  • Apply a minimum of 2 cross-coats with a roller or brush.
  • Apply the first coat allowing a rough but reasonable quantity of 0.4 kg to 0.5 kg/m².
  • Allow the first coat to dry for 3-4 hours. The surface of SikaTile®-152 Damp Flex must be touch-dry before applying the second coat)
  • Apply a second coat allowing a quantity of 0.4 to 0.5 kg/m². The drying period of the second coat is around 4 to 24 hours (temperature dependent)
  • The total thickness of the covering should be at least 0.5 mm.

Time before covering 

  • SikaTile®-152 Damp Flex can be covered with tiles within 12 hours minimum to 7 days maximum after the final coat (bonded with tile adhesive, SikaTile®-360 XL or SikaTile®370 XL Multi Purpose.)
