Sika® Igolflex®-130

HIGHLY ELASTIC BITUMEN LIQUID-APPLIED WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE

Sika® Igolflex® -130 is a water-based waterproof coating prepared by special processes after using high polymer modified bitumen such as SBS and APP. It has excellent application performance and service performance. After cured, It has excellent elastic-plastic property, low temperature flexibility and aging resistance.

Shelf life

Under normal transportation and storage conditions, the shelf life is 12 months from the production date.

Storage conditions

The product must be stored in original unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions and temperatures between 5°C and  40°C.Store in a horizontal position. Covering the tablecloth if necessary. No more than four layers of packaging drums shall be stacked. Always refer to packaging.

  1. Use reinforcement as LANKO Glass Fiber Mesh for all joints, areas subject to differential movement, guttering or drainage channels.
  2. Consumption data is theoretical and does not consider any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level, wastage or any other variations. Apply product to a test area to calculate the exact consumption for the specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.
Application steps

APPLICATION

Priming
Add ~20-30% fresh water (by weight) to Sika® Igolflex®-130 and mix thoroughly. Prime the surface by brush or spray. Allow to completely dry prior to the application of further coatings.

  • In case of porous, absorbent substrates pre-wet the surface with water.
  • Avoid standing water.

Application
Apply Sika® Igolflex®-130 to the clean and primed surface by brush or spray. When spraying exterior below grade walls, ensure a uniform thickness to obtain a pinhole-free surface. For water tightness apply 2-3 coats. Allow the coat to dry between application.

 

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean tools and hands with cold water when wet and use solvents when dry.
