NON-SHRINK GROUT WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE

Lanko 701 Clavex is a ready-to-mix, self-levelling, shrinkage-compensating, fluid or semi-paste mortar intended for sealing and bedding purposes with high mechanical strength.

Usage

  • Bedding of elements ranging in thickness from 25 mm. to 50 mm.
  • Suitable for the bedding of heavy machinery based, rail posts, structural column.
  • Sealing of steel rebar, tie rods, connectors (diaphragm walls) and anchoring bars.
  • Wedged keying of prefabricated elements.
  • Underpinning.
  • Grouting and filling gaps.

For 1 m3 of mortar approx. 75 x 25 kg bags.
Application steps

MIXING

1. Mix LANKO 701 CLAVEX with clean water.The quantity of water used depends on the consistency required.
2. Mixing should be carried out as follows: By machine mix with recommended speed at 500 rpm.
3. Mixing time: at least 3 minutes and required consistency is obtained.
4. Leave the mixture to stand for 1 - 3 minutes.
5. Do not add water after mixing.

Micro concrete Preparation
1. Micro-concrete is made up by adding 10 litres (16 kg) of clean 3/8" aggregate for each 25 kg bag of LANKO 701 CLAVEX as mention in above table.
2. Machine mix at least 3 minutes or until a plastic consistency is obtained.

 

APPLICATION

Bedding

1. The mixed grout should be placed promptly before it stiffens. Higher temperature will accelerate setting time.
2. Pour grout from one side only to avoid air entrapment.
3. Use a rod or strap to assist in large/difficult placement as well as to facilitate maximum surface contact. Concrete vibrator should not be used. Excessive vibration will cause separation of each ingredient.

Anchoring

1. Damp the area with water and clean out the area to be sealed.
2. Remove residual water just prior to sealing.
3. Fill the hole with mortar and insert anchoring bar into the hole and cast the mortar.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened mortar can only be removed mechanically.
