2. For tile sizes larger than 40x40 cm, apply tile adhesive on the surface and on the back of the tile.
Application steps

MIXING

  • Mix SikaTile®-560 XL Stone Guard 20 kg with 5.0-5.6 Litres of clean water with an electrical mixer using a low speed with an electrical mixer until the compound is evenly distributed.
  • Allow the mixture to stand for 2 - 3 minutes for a good reaction and reduce air bubbles before using the adhesive.
  • The resulting mix has a very creamy consistency and is easy to apply and spread.

APPLICATION

  • Spread tile adhesive by using a notched trowel onto the substrate.
  • Fix tile on tile adhesive and knock it over with a rubber hammer.
  • Dual bonding should be applied when the tile size

    exceeds 25 cm x 25 cm. Apply a thin layer of tile

    adhesive onto the back of the tile, then fix the tile

    onto the adhesive substrate.

  • Once the tiles have been laid, leave them to stand for 24 hours or until the tile adhesive is dry before grouting with SikaTile Tile Grout.
