Sikadur®-42 TH

Epoxy Resin Castable Grout

A solvent-free, 3-component, pourable grout, based on a combination of high strength epoxy resins and specially graded aggregates. After mixing, it forms
a flowable mortar, suitable for grouting and filling.

Usage

Sikadur®-42 TH is a high strength self levelling material with no shrinkage. It is suitable to grout :
  • Bridge bearing plates
  • Machine bases
  • Fixing bolts and anchors
  • Crane rail tracks
  • Reinforcement
  • And to fill cavities in concrete

Shelf life

12 months from the date of production If stored properly in undamaged, original, sealed packaging.

Storage conditions

Store in original, unopened, sealed and undamaged packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C.

Mixing Ratio

Comp. A:B:C = 2:1:15 parts by weight

Layer Thickness

Minimum thickness per layer  = 15 mm.
Maximum thickness per layer = 150 mm.

Substrate Temperature

Minimum age of new concrete= 3-6 weeks, depending on climate.
Minimum substate temperature = 5°C
Maximum substrate temperature = 40°C

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

All surfaces should be clean, free from standing water and all loosely adhering particles. Cement laitance should be removed by mechanical means (i.e. sand blasting).

MIXING

Mix components A and B together for at least one minute with a slow speed electric drill (max. 400 R.P.M.) Then add aggregate (component C)
and continue mixing until a homogeneous, flowing mortar is achieved.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with Thinner C.
