Sika® Back Up Rod is manufactured from extruded polyethylene foam, available in rods with different diameters and lengths.

Usage

Sika® Back Up Rod is used as a back up material for cold applied Sika sealants to give the sealant the correct thickness. It also acts as a bondbreaker, permitting the most efficient joint design.

12 months from date of production if stored in undamaged and unopened, original sealed packaging.

Store in dry conditions and protected from heat.
